Wichman Clinical Teaching and Assessment Center (CTAC)
Welcome to the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (UWSMPH) Wichman Clinical Teaching and Assessment Center (CTAC) website. Our web site will continue growing over time, so please visit again to check out new content which will include sections about the CTAC, clinical teaching and assessment, Standardized Patients, the technology in our Center, and other topics. We hope that you find the information here to be helpful and we welcome your questions as well as your feedback.
The mission of the UWSMPH CTAC is to provide health sciences students and faculty with opportunities to practice and demonstrate clinical skills in a setting which duplicates the real world as closely as possible. The CTAC staff’s goal is to provide high-caliber services that will allow both students and faculty to participate in the acquisition and assessment of skills. The CTAC staff members focus on the development and provision of teaching and assessment encounters that will allow students to learn and demonstrate skills they will need as professionals.
