Shobhina Chheda Named Director of Clinical Education
Shobhina Chheda, MD, MPH, has accepted the position of director of clinical education at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
Chheda, an associate professor in the Department of Medicine, is an exceptional leader and educator who has served as co-director of the Years 3 and 4 Student Programs in the Department of Medicine since 2006 and as a key faculty member in the integration of public health into the School of Medicine and Public Health curriculum since 2009.
She has received multiple teaching and education awards and has held national leadership positions in education through the Society of General Internal Medicine and the Alliance of Academic Internal Medicine/Clerkship Directors in Internal Medicine.
As director of clinical education, Chheda will oversee the continuum of the School of Medicine and Public Health's clinical curriculum by working closely with the clerkship directors and course directors of Patient, Doctor and Society. She will also have a key role in the transformation of the School of Medicine and Public Health's curriculum.
