Jeff Korab is the chief information officer for the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He leads the school’s Office of Information Technology (IT), providing strategic direction and operational oversight for technology services that support the school’s education, research, clinical and administrative missions.
Korab works closely with school and health system leaders to advance technology initiatives that enable innovation, strengthen cybersecurity, improve digital experiences and support the delivery of high-quality services across SMPH. He oversees a broad portfolio of IT functions, including enterprise applications, infrastructure, information security, data and analytics, research computing support and customer-facing technology services.
Prior to his appointment as chief information officer, Korab served as senior IT director for the school, where he provided leadership for the school’s technology strategy and operations. Korab has more than two decades of service to the University of Wisconsin–Madison and has held a variety of technology leadership and consulting roles within the School of Medicine and Public Health.
His experience spans information security, academic information systems, enterprise applications and organizational technology strategy. His longstanding connection to the university began as a student employee while attending UW–Madison and has continued throughout his career.
