Curriculum Coordinator

Olivia Steidl is the curriculum coordinator for the Master of Public Health (MPH) program. She is a key resource for students regarding course expectations, program policies and academic support. Steidl works closely with program staff and teaching faculty to assist with course delivery, student assessment, instructional design and the alignment and improvement of the MPH core curriculum.

Steidl’s experience includes working on commercial tobacco prevention, policy education, community outreach and engagement, and cancer risk reduction. She has worked in various public health settings, including University Health Services on campus, Public Health Madison & Dane County, and the Wisconsin Cancer Collaborative.

In addition to her dedication to public health, Steidl has a passion for developing accessible, engaging educational opportunities for students of all backgrounds. She served as a chemistry and population health sciences teaching assistant during her MPH program and has extensive experience as an academic subject and test prep tutor for high school and undergraduate students.

Steidl received her MPH from UW–Madison and also holds a bachelor of science in genetics and genomics with certificates in global health and environmental studies from UW–Madison.
