The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison seeks to contribute to the field of psychiatry through its excellent educational programs at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health, continued research contributions and outstanding clinical care.
The department has a proud heritage of accomplishing these missions and is fortunate to have the ongoing resources to continue this tradition as it looks forward to preparing students for careers. The residency training program seeks to provide a diverse, challenging and satisfying experience for trainees.
The department also believes the contributions it makes are best supported by a cordial, collegial environment in which the individual needs of department members are respected yet balanced with the overall goals and missions collectively espoused.
