Madison, Wisconsin - The Collaborative Center for Health Equity has scheduled a series of presentations that will be held in conjunction with the first annual Health Equity Leadership Institute.
The presentations will take place the week of June 14, 2010, at the Health Sciences Learning Center in Madison.
The following events are open to the public:
Monday, June 14
9am: Research Lecture: Framing Community-Engaged Health Equity Research, by Stephen Thomas, PhD, University of Pittsburgh Center for Minority Health (room 1345).
1pm: Research Resources - NIH Overview - Application and Review Processes, by Mike Fleming, MD, MPH, professor of family medicine, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (room 1325).
Tuesday, June 15
2:30pm: Collaborative Research Teams - Asthma, by Chris Sorkness, PharmD, UW schools of Pharmacy and Medicine and Public Health (room 1325).
Wednesday, June 16
8am: Collaborative Research Teams: Connecting with Communities, by Alex Adams, MD, PhD, associate professor of family medicine and director of the Collaborative Center for Health Equity, UW-Madison; and Sharon Adams, Lindsay Heights Neighborhood Health Alliance, Milwaukee (room 1325).
Thursday, June 17
4pm: Wisconsin and Health Equity - The Wisconsin Partnership Program's Lifecourse Initiative for Healthy Families, by Lorraine Lathen and Cathy Frey (room 1306).
