School of Medicine and Public Health, UW Health Web Sites Earn National Awards
The Web sites for the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and UW Health recently won national and state recognition.
The sites - www.med.wisc.edu and www.uwhealth.org - earned a number of awards at November's annual Healthcare Internet Conference sponsored by Greystone.net, held in Las Vegas. Greystone provides online solutions for health care organizations.
UW Health won three Greystone.net and StayWell Custom Communications Best In Class Client Awards:
- Best Overall Web Site (Gold)
- Best Redesigned Web site - Academic Medical Center (Gold)
- Best Redesigned Intranet (Gold)
Gold, silver and bronze awards were given in each category.
UW Health was also honored at the Healthcare Internet Conference with a number of eHealthcare Leadership Awards:
- Best Site Design (silver)
- Best Web 2.0 (gold)
- Best Overall Internet Site (gold)
- Best Intranet Site (platinum)
- eHealth Organizational Commitment (finalist)
Platinum, gold and silver awards were given in each category.
In addition to these national awards, UW Health earned several honors at October's annual Wisconsin Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Society (WHPRMS) convention:
- Award of Excellence for med.wisc.edu
- Award of Excellence for the new uwhealth.org home page
- Award of Excellence for the Wisconsin Dance Marathon Web site
- Award of Merit for Best Use of Social Media
