DPT Visiting Lecturer: Cathy Ciolek

Speaker: Cathy Ciolek, PT, DPT, FAPTA, FNAP, President – APTA Geriatrics
Cathy Ciolek has been a physical therapist for over 35 years and has been board-certified as a geriatric clinical specialist since 1996. She previously served as regional director for the Pennsylvania Restraint Reduction Initiative (PARRI), providing education and consultation for issues related to well-being (falls, engagement, medication reduction) to nursing homes throughout the state of Pennsylvania via a CMS grant. Before that role, Dr. Ciolek was an assistant professor and director of clinical education for the Department of Physical Therapy in the College of Health Sciences at the University of Delaware. Throughout her career, she has practiced as a physical therapist in acute care, outpatient, skilled nursing, home health, and continuing care retirement facilities.

Saturday, September 27, 2025 10 a.m.-12 p.m. (CST)
Registration is required for this hybrid event, which will include an overview of admissions, research, clinical education, the DPT-MPH dual degree and a Q&A with current students. Facility tours are available for in-person attendees.
