As our Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) site visit came to a close last week, during which a group representing the LCME assessed our compliance with medical education accreditation standards, I’ve been thinking a lot about our school’s education mission. It is a commitment we all share to train the next generation of health care and scientific leaders.
I have always liked New Year’s resolutions. There is something symbolic about turning over a new leaf along with the calendar. I have found the most success when I mindfully take stock and consider how I can continue to grow, both personally and professionally.
It has been an incredible first semester as a Badger, and as leaves and temperatures drop they invite us to pause and reflect.
