UW Health and the the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health have joined to offer an online opportunity for UW Health practitioners to meet the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board emergency rule requiring continuing education on its opioid prescribing guidelines.

The Ladder: Step up for diversity and inclusion at SMPH

As part of its strategic plan for diversity and inclusion, UW School of Medicine and Public Health is partnering with The Ladder, a national community-based mentorship and health education pathway program. SMPH will function as a branch of The Ladder, which was started in Minnesota in 2012, by Renee Crichlow, MD. The program will officially launch at SMPH in Summer 2018.

This month’s LCME activities focus on readiness for a mock LCME accreditation survey that will take place Oct. 15–18. For the mock survey, SMPH has selected four external experts to conduct a site visit that will serve as an early dress rehearsal for our official LCME accreditation visit in April 2018.
