The portfolio is a living document, which is required and utilized throughout the Master of Public Health educational program to monitor progress in the mastery of public health competencies and accomplishments throughout the program.
Students continuously add to and update the portfolio with products, projects, and work samples from courses, group opportunities, volunteer experiences and the Applied Practice Experience.
Throughout the MPH Program, students periodically meet with their faculty advisor to discuss progress and assess the level of competence throughout the program. During these ongoing conversations, the student and faculty advisor mutually discuss areas of emphasis and/or enhancements needed. The final portfolio will be reviewed as part of the Integrative Learning Experience.
